< Return to Firm News ST&G's Jeff Krause Named a Fellow of the American College of Bankruptcy December 2, 2005 Jeffrey C. Krause, a senior partner at ST&G, has been
named a Fellow of the American College of Bankruptcy. The College is comprised of some of the most distinguished
practitioners in the field of bankruptcy law.
Fellows are selected on an invitation only basis. Nominees
for Fellows are extended an invitation to join based on a record of achievement
in the insolvency process by professionals who have distinguished themselves in
their practice and in their contribution to the insolvency field. Criteria for
selection include: the highest standard of professionalism, ethics, character,
integrity, professional expertise and leadership in contributing to the
enhancement of bankruptcy and insolvency processes; sustained evidence of
scholarship, teaching, lecturing or writing on bankruptcy or insolvency; and
commitment to elevate knowledge and understanding of the profession and public
respect for the practice.
Mr. Krause began his legal career with ST&G in 1980,
after graduating from the University of California, Los Angeles School of Law,
where he served on the UCLA Law Review and was admitted to the Order of the
Coif. Mr. Krause's practice focuses on
representing financially troubled businesses, as well as investors in troubled
companies and distressed debt. Some of
Mr. Krause's most recent engagements include representing Ranch Capital and the
investment vehicle it formed to fund the successful plan of reorganization for Hawaiian
Airlines; representing furniture maker Falcon Industries in its chapter 11 reorganization;
and representing Leucadia National Corp. in various acquisitions.
