  Now in his fourteenth year of bankruptcy practice, Mr. Yun is a shareholder of Stutman, Treister & Glatt Professional Corporation.  He received his B.A. in History and Political Science, cum laude, in 1993 from University of California, Los Angeles.  Mr. Yun received his J.D. from the University of Southern California Law School in 1996.  Following law school, he served as a judicial clerk for the Honorable Ernest M. Robles, United States Bankruptcy Judge for the Central District of California and also served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Barry Russell while in law school.  Mr. Yun was born in Seoul, Korea, and speaks Korean fluently. 

Mr. Yun's practice focuses on representing financially troubled companies, both in and out of court, and representing parties in bankruptcy related litigation.  His recent debtor engagements have included Phoenix MC, Inc. (electronic automobile manufacturer), Fremont General Corporation (bank holding company), Applied Magnetics Corporation (computer disk drive manufacturer), and Lyon & Lyon LLP (law firm).  His recent committee and creditor representations have included Tower Park Properties, LLC (committee in a real estate development chapter 11 case), Central Metal, Inc. (committee in the chapter 11 case of a scrap metal processing company), and creditors in the chapter 11 cases of Lehman Brothers and Sharper Image.  In recent years, Mr. Yun has also been active in cross-border insolvency cases.  He represented the Korean receiver of TriGem Computer, Inc., who filed the very first corporate chapter 15 bankruptcy case in history.  Mr. Yun also regularly represents Korean creditors in American bankruptcy cases and has represented Canadian receivers and trustees in recovering assets located in the United States.

In 2006, Mr. Yun was named one of the “Outstanding Young Restructuring Lawyers” by Turnaround & Workouts

Mr. Yun is a Member of the State Bar of California (Business Law Section); the American Bar Association (Business Law Section); the Los Angeles County Bar Association (Commercial Law and Bankruptcy Section); the Los Angeles Bankruptcy Forum; and the Financial Lawyers Conference.
